Its been awhile but internet has been sparse or not working at the camps we are at. Here is some more pics of our trip on the trace: What the trace looks like that still exists There are many grave markers around his big maker that lie flat on the ground. They circle his. Soon we came to the Tennessee River to cross but ate lunch at its base first The bridge is a mile long. Well that's all for today. My clothes are about done and we will be moving on. The weather has been very cold and rainy the last couple of days. But we have made it to New Mexico.

Friday we left the campground and started on the Natchez Trace, stopping many times. The first stop was at the Gordon House Pudder-pod wanted his picture taken too along with car Then it was back on the road. This is a great relaxing way to drive. No stop signs and most of the time the speed limit is 50. Our next stop was a hike to see some falls Papa climbed up on the falls On the trail is spots where people would build an inn for the travelers to stay and eat they weren't called inns they were called stands
The fun has begun. Thursday we said good-bye to Grace and Peyton and headed toward Oak Ridge making a stop at
McDonalds for lunch. Then over 40 to Nashville to begin our travels on the Natchez Trace Parkway
(this is 40 through the mountains) After we found the parkway we had to start looking for a place for the night
We chose this campground and started on our way to there. The directions took us down a dirt road that looked like a driveway that was only one lane. A car came at us so as we slowed down and gave her as much room as we could an older black man came toward us asking if we were looking for the campground which we said yes and he said you found it. It was just a big field, but if we wanted to park near the barn he would hook us up with electricity. So we did
The next to last picture is of Sams house. There is a field, then a road, then up to the top of the hill is the house. He drives a school bus during the day, the one parked there is his. He had a big black dog named Diesel, wish I had gotten a picture of him. He wanted to play but he was just so big, Sam said his grandkids had ruined him lol. About midnight Diesel decided he didn't want us there so he stood outside the trailer barking. If I yelled at him to be quiet he would until we made a noise then he started in again. Soon Sam came and took him home.

Modifications

The first two pics are of the corner when we bought the pod, a huge gaping hole to toss things and after a couple of trips we realized that we can make this better. PuddeR-pod didn't come with a fancy convection oven so Henry did some engineering and secured a small microwave in the hole above the frig and then we added a shelf. This is a messy picture so you get the idea until I can find or take a better one.

Meet PuddeR-Pod

This is PuddeR-Pod our 2010 R-Pod 175. We had a few adventures already but we are about to take a big adventure out west. The purpose of all this is for family to follow along, and hopefully I won't be so absorbed with travel and site seeing that I forget to post :) Before we go I'll be posting pictures of previous trips and some mods we have done. So if you stumble upon this diary/blog hope you enjoy.
